Mike & Goldie

We met Mike in Studio City, California while driving around town. We noticed a  small dog with him and decided to introduce ourselves as a veterinary team looking to help them out, if they were interested. Mike expressed his gratitude and handed Dr. Kwane his young pup named Goldie. Dr. Kwane states: β€œI notice that as I create a relationship with the pet, a trusting relationship with the owner also starts and they begin to tell me their story.” Sometimes the best way to help others is to sit down and listen.

Mike was struggling with everything that he had going on in his life. A common theme he kept bringing up was change and how hard it can be. Our team asked him why he got Goldie and he said that being a pet parent changes you, giving a person additional responsibilities and duties.

Goldie was not vaccinated, but we were able to help with his initial shots and follow through with the full course recommended. We checked in with Mike and Goldie five weeks later, and he allowed us to take Goldie with us for a grooming at Beverly Oaks Animal Hospital to remove some gum in his paws. The workers at Beverly Oaks did an amazing job, making him look and smell his best! Goldie then received his final vaccines and was on his way. We are happy to have been able to help this duo.
