Tammy and Her Companions
When we met Mattie, she was a one-year-old pup belonging to Tammy, her loving mother. Mattie also lives with her pet sibling, a cat named Boogie. Tammy bought Mattie from a senior citizen for $20 and told us, “That’s the best investment I’ve ever done.”
We met Tammy at a park right near the famous San Diego Zoo, where we noticed her dog and cat companions. Tammy continued to tell us her story of personal health and financial problems, which she mentioned she does not do so often, but the doors of trust are opened with pets around. Tammy mentioned she gets emotional sometimes, but Mattie and Boogie help keep her steady.
Tammy expressed concern over seizures Mattie was experiencing, getting both pets vaccinated, and treated for fleas.
Dr. Kwane and his RVT Genesis were able to successfully vaccinate and treat for fleas for both Mattie and Boogie, which helped alleviate some stress for Tammy. We are thankful she felt safe enough to open up to our team and allow us to treat her two best companions.
