Julie and King Tut
Julie and her cat, King Tut, stumbled across our organization while flipping through a magazine that featured Dr. Kwane. King Tut was having some breathing issues at the time and reached out to us for help. Dr. Kwane saw King Tut and diagnosed him with severe asthma. A part of Project Street Vet's work is taking calls from pet owners in need to see if they qualify for our program and if they do we connect them with a nearby partner hospital to receive care. Our supporters and our team were able to help fund for the care and medication King Tut needed to continue a happy, healthy life.
This is what his mom wrote us:
“I was blessed on April 5th, 2022, when I found Project Street Vet. My Cat, King Tut, was having really bad breathing problems and was wheezing almost the entire time he tried to sleep. I was beside myself worrying about my best friend, King Tut. All of the Veterinarians I called unfortunately produced the same result. The cost was way out of my budget. Then I found Dr. Kwane Stewart of Project Street Vet in my AARP magazine. I called immediately and spoke with Danae and explained my dilemma with King Tut. Danae was kind, caring and super understanding! She referred me to Papaya Pet Care and said that is where Dr Stewart worked. King Tut was diagnosed with Severe Feline Asthma/Bronchitis and treated with the appropriate medication. Dr. Kwane, Danae, Val and everyone at Project Street Vet SAVED my best friend, King Tut, LIFE! Currently Project Street Vet has been sponsoring King Tut for his new Vet, Santaluz Animal Care, every quarter so he can get his lungs checked out and continue his life saving medication. King Tut and I are beyond thankful and grateful for the warm, loving hearts and compassionate souls of Dr. Kwane, Danae and Val at Project Street Vet! They are ALL true Angels!”
